Industrial Visit

Balaji College of Arts, Commerce and Science organized an industrial visit to Volkswagen manufacturing plant for BBA students on 27 February 2018. Students collected information on their management, production, research patents and human resources. Mr. Akshay Naik, Head-Communications demonstrated entire production process of cars and also answered various queries of students. He elaborated on company’s car models, raw material required for production, various automatic, semi-automatic and manual machinery, human resource required, and technology used. Along with company’s high quality control policy of marketing. He explained how the cars are designed for total safety of passengers. He told that high quality cars, completely comfortable and safe drive are main objectives of the company. Company’s Human Resource Manager Mrs. Ranjana Gaikwad interacted with students and discussed company’s various projects, required human resource and company’s various guiding principles for development. Students asked questions and got answers to their many queries by company officials. This practical exposure was a valuable input for the students. The visit was coordinated by: Dr. Pushpraj Wagh, Dr. Jayasree Nambiar, Prof. Arun Wankhade. Students of Balaji College of Arts, Commerce and Science visited Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. and collected information on their management, production, research patents and human resources. Thirty five students of second year BBA participated in this industrial visit. In bottling plant of Coca-Cola in Pirangut, through personal discussion with the managers, students collected information on company’s various products, methods of production, technology used, quality control, packaging, marketing,skilled and unskilled human resource required. They studied the company’s overall system of work. Along with this, they studied how company matches the supply and demand of product and how the price of product is decided. Students enthusiastically participated and tried to understand the various schemes of state and central government. Mr. Pravin Jadhav, Head-Human Resources and Mr. Satish Deshmukh, Head-Quality Control interacted with students and provided comprehensive information.

Students also visited Enrich Solutions in Sangamner and studied how it works, the application of various theories in syllabus and government policies. During this visit, students collected information on production of various products, raw material used, purchasing system, human resource, time, packaging, and plant. The company’s Managing Director Dr. Anirudha Digrskar explained about company’s establishment, mission, vision, growth, and various difficulties. Mr. Shrikant Gaggad, Vice Chairman of MIDC interacted with students and professors and informed about the structure of MIDC, management, the various small, medium and large scale businesses established in MIDC. From these industrial visits, students not only got the information about the industry but also got the answers to their various queries in their mind.
