Examination

The program spans three years, with an optional fourth year. Examinations are conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and follow a semester pattern, held twice a year. 

  • Result Declaration:   Results are typically announced within 45 days from the commencement of examinations. 
  • Assessment Process:   The entire examination process - from paper setting to evaluation - is overseen by the university. The final grade includes a combination of internal and external assessments. 
  • Student Registration: Students can apply forphotocopies of their answer sheets and revaluation through their student profile (https://sim.unipune.ac.in/SIM_APP/) on the university portal. Both processes are subject to fees as prescribed by SPPU. 
  • Final internal marks are calculated on the basis of the marks secured in the above categories and converted into 20 marks (2013 pattern) and 30 marks (2019 pattern). 
  • A student cannot appear for Semester End Examination unless he / she has maintained at least 75% attendance during the teaching period of that course. If a student fails to maintain attendance up to 75%, at the time of filling of Examination Forms, an undertaking from the student should be taken stating that he / she will be allowed to appear for Examination subject to fulfillment of required attendance criteria during the remaining period of teaching of the course.

  • Each credit will be evaluated for 25 Marks.

  • Each course will have a distribution of 30:70 for CIE and SEE.

  • To pass a course, the student must obtain at least 40% Percent marks in the CIE and SEE separately.

  • If a student misses CIE examination, he / she will have a Second Chance with the permission of the teacher concerned only. Such a Second Chance shall not be the right of the student; it will be the discretion of the teacher concerned only rather than the Head of the Department or Principal to give or not to give Second Chance to a student to appear for Internal Assessment.

  • A student cannot register for the Third, Fifth and Seventh Semester, if he / she fails to complete 50% credits of the total credits expected to be ordinarily completed within Two Semesters.

  • No student shall be admitted to the Fifth Semester Examination of the Third Year unless he / she has cleared First Two Semesters.

  • No student shall be admitted to the Fourth Year BBA (Seventh Semester) Degree Program (2024 Pattern) unless he / she has cleared all the papers of Third and Fourth Semester Examination of S.Y. BBA and has satisfactorily kept terms for the Third Year (Fifth and Sixth Semester).

  • There shall be revaluation of the Answer Scripts of Semester-End Examination but not of Answer Scripts of Internal Assessment Papers as per Ordinance No. 134 A and B.
  • A student cannot appear for Semester End Examination unless he/she has maintained at least 75% attendance during the teaching period of that course. Library

The library embraces a crucial role to play in management and Commerce College. The Balaji College of Arts Commerce and Science boasts of its well-stocked library with a conducive environment for learning. It has books suited to the interests and aptitude of students of both the streams. Enriched by magazines, periodicals, newspapers, its calm and tranquil atmosphere calls the students to quench their thirst for knowledge. The BCACS Library is the center of the intellectual and social activities of the college.

  • Library members / students should produce their ID cards at the entrance of the Library.

  • The students must record their name in the entry without fail.

  • Readers should observe strict silence and switch off their mobile phones etc. in the library premises.

  • The students’ membership of the library is renewed at the beginning of each semester.

  • Readers’ tickets / library membership ID cards are nontransferable.

  • Eating, sleeping, talking loudly and loitering are strictly prohibited in the library.

  • Documents taken out of the shelves must be left on the table. Replacing the books on shelves is not encouraged as it may get misplaced.

  • A non-member can use the library material on the premises with the permission of the Librarian.

  • Reference material should not be taken outside the library.

  • Readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages or otherwise damage the library documents.

  • The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time & the member shall return the same.

  • Newspaper, magazines and journals must be read-only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to any other reading areas.
  • No library material can be taken out of the library without permission. Unauthorized removal of anything belonging to the library will be treated as theft and dealt accordingly.

  • Keep our bags, personal reading material & other belongings on property counter outside the library. The library staff is not responsible for any loss or damage to the student's belongings.

  • Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of library membership and may be debarred from using the library facilities.
