Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Celebration
Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Celebration
The college celebrated Shivjayanti, the birth anniversary of the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, with great enthusiasm and cultural pride on 28 Feb 2025. The event aimed to honor the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj and inspire students with his values of bravery, leadership, and justice.
Where students dressed in traditional attire and waved saffron flags with pride, a beautiful portrait of Shivaji Maharaj was garlanded, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The atmosphere was charged with patriotic energy. The principal delivered an inspiring speech highlighting Shivaji Maharaj's contributions to Indian history, his visionary leadership, and his respect for women and all religions. Faculty members and students also spoke about his bravery, smart warfare strategies, and the importance of his ideals in today’s world.
A cultural program was presented by the students, including powada (traditional Marathi folk song), speeches, skits, and dance performances depicting important events from Shivaji’s life. These performances not only entertained the audience but also deeply moved them.
The event successfully instilled a strong sense of patriotism, leadership, and respect for heritage among students. Shivjayanti at our college was not just a celebration, but a reminder of the timeless values and inspiring legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
